Cooling Off in the South Okanagan
Our Advice When Hiring an HVAC Company
#1 Vetting — whether hiring for a sudden A/C repair or upgrading your heating system, find out who’s good by asking friends, a landlord, or reading lots of reviews.
#2 On-Site Visit —a quality contractor wants to build a long-term relationship with you and your home or business. They’ll see your equipment firsthand, and you can ask questions and see how knowledgeable they really are.
#3 Written Quote — don’t jump into a job – even maintenance – without a quote. A reliable contractor should always assess the situation and give you their findings in writing.
#4 Ask Questions — how long has the HVAC firm been in business? Do they have customer referrals to offer you? Check out their website and look online for past customer comments.
#5 Contractor Insurance — before they touch your equipment, ask for their insurance certificate. They need to have liability, WorkSafeBC, and property damage coverage in place.
